100 not out

Well the big news for blog post 100 is not so much about the house as about us. Covid-19 finally caught up with us both this week, with Elizabeth succumbing first and Ian a couple of days later. We have both had some unpleasant symptoms and have felt pretty exhausted, but we are grateful for our vaccination histories. While it's no longer illegal to go out while testing positive, it's clearly unkind to get close to others, so our jaunts to the house have been limited to a couple of out-of-hours trips and have involved taking a couple of camping chairs with us so that we could have a sit down while there. It's not exactly moving in, but it felt different.

The tiling of the two ensuites has been completed with the floors down and grouted. Our tilers have had a few days on another job this week but should be back soon to complete the upstairs and downstairs bathrooms.
