The second post today - but what a day!

Our renewables people turned up today with a Mitsubishi Ecodan heatpump, its associated 300 litre tank and accessories, and the inverter to link the DC photovoltaic panels to the AC electricity supply managed by the consumer unit. Working in association with Rob, our general electrician, they aim to have the underfloor heating system, the domestic hot water, and electricity generation working by Tuesday. Outside, the time-consuming business of fitting the larch cladding continues.

the first of the black nickel sockets and switches are in - lower right there will be a room thermostat

water tank with pump, etc, PV inverter (top right), and Keith's assistant

some rather expensive copper tubing

pipes and cables from the utility room will be routed underground to the heat pump .....

..... which will be placed between the side door and the kitchen window

from across the field, we have finished rooflines and the first sight of timber cladding
